Hanuman Chalisa or forty verses of Chalisa is a devotionalhymn dedicated to Hanumanji or the monkey God, by the great Indian poet Tulsidas.The language of the Chalisa is in refined Avadhi language.

The work consists of forty three verses, two introductory Dohas, then the forty Chalisa and one Doha at the end.
